Every Capiro collection begins the same way, with a story. Not a design brief. Not a mood board. A human experience that demands to be told. Something that changed the course of a life or the course of history. That story becomes the blueprint. Every detail on every watch traces back to something real and felt.
Our customer does not come to us looking for a status symbol. They come looking for meaning. They are the people who understand that the most important things carried through life are not objects, they are the moments, the sacrifices, and the love that shaped us. A Capiro is for the person who wears a watch not to be seen, but to remember.
Each Capiro edition is produced in a strictly limited quantity, never reprinted, and each one is individually numbered. When the last piece is made, that chapter closes forever.
The story arrives before the design. Every time. If a detail cannot be traced back to the narrative, it is removed. No exceptions.

THE STORY ARRIVES
The story arrives before anything else. Before a sketch is drawn, before a movement is chosen, before a single dimension is considered. It may be a personal experience, a moment in history, or the life of someone whose courage changed everything. The story is always first.

THE STORY IS STUDIED
Before a single element is designed, the story is broken down into its essential truths. What are its symbols? What are its colours? What details would reward a person who truly understands what they are wearing?

EVERY DETAIL IS EARNED
The dial, the hands, the strap, the caseback, the movement, each element is designed to serve the story. Nothing is added for aesthetics alone. If a detail cannot be explained by the narrative, it is removed.

LIMITED FOREVER
Once the design is complete, a fixed number is determined and never changed. The edition is made once. When the last watch ships, that chapter of Capiro is closed permanently and preserved in the archive.

Capiro Heritage
Released in 2019, the Capiro Heritage is an homage to Santiago Capiro, a small town watchmaker in Cuba before and during the revolution who designed and created watches in secrecy under the Cuban government regime for well known and influential individuals. His most prized pieces were made during that time, often without credit, yet quietly respected. His watches were never complex, they were simple, intentional, and built with purpose. That philosophy lives in the Heritage design. The clean dial reflects discipline and restraint, the moonphase captures time beyond human control, and the open heart reveals the living mechanics within.
The caseback’s intricate pattern represents complexity behind every piece, a quiet nod to the hidden nature of his work.

The Aventurero was not designed. It was uncovered. It began as a question Ernesto had been carrying for decades without realizing it, what does it look like to wear courage on your wrist? The answer came from his own life. A ten year old boy leaving Cuba with his family, stepping into a future he could not see, guided only by the unwavering strength of his parents. Every element on the watch traces back to that journey. The globe for the world crossed. The compass rose for the direction found through difficulty. The inscription on the chapter ring for the truth time eventually revealed. The red thread on the strap for the country that started it all. And hidden on the caseback, for no one but the wearer to find, four words in fine italic gold. Para mamá y papá.
The Aventurero is not just a watch about adventure. It is a watch about one specific kind of courage, the kind it takes to leave everything behind and move forward anyway.
